NASA
For centuries, humanity has searched the stars for another world. That search reaches a decisive turning point with the discovery of Planet 4546B, the ocean planet at the centre of the Subnautica universe. Initially identified as a promising site for scientific exploration, 4546B soon reveals an environment far more complex and dangerous than expected. Beneath its vast oceans lie unfamiliar ecosystems, leviathan-class organisms, artificial structures and evidence of an advanced civilization that disappeared under unexplained circumstances. Within NASA, delegates will represent scientific, medical, engineering, legal and operational divisions responsible for directing humanity’s first expedition to the planet. They will oversee exploration, crew survival, contact with alien life and the investigation of technologies and biological materials found beneath the surface. Each discovery will raise new questions concerning planetary protection, scientific ethics, resource exploitation and the limits of human intervention in an extraterrestrial ecosystem. As the mission advances, the distinction between exploration and survival will begin to disappear. Unknown infections, environmental hazards and the remains of an ancient quarantine system may threaten not only the expedition, but Earth itself. Delegates must act under uncertainty, balance scientific ambition with responsibility and determine how far humanity should descend into a world it does not yet understand. But remember: In the depths of 4546B, you are never truly alone.
